With LCA online you can achieve up to 5 points and outstanding quality in the BREEAM criterion Mat 01 – Environmental Impact. The tool is recognized by TÜV SÜD DIFNI and BRE Global (BREG) and can be used for projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the following system:
- BREEAM International 2016
- BREEAM DE New build 2018
- BREEAM AT Neubau 2018
- BREEAM International Refurbishment and Fit-out 2015
Your advantages with LCA online:
- Recognized LCA software for BREEAM
- Full points for BREEAM
- Preset evaluation option according to BREEAM
- Preconfigured products and components for BREEAM
We would also be happy to prepare a BREEAM life cycle assessment for your project.
With LCA Online you can prove the following criteria:
BREEAM Mat 01 – Ecological impact
Life cycle assessment – one to five points
1 The project uses a life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology to measure the environmental impact of the building elements in relation to their life cycle.
2 The LCA includes at least the common building elements in the “Material assessment scope” section of the BREEAM DE Mat 01 calculator, if available in the building.
3 The mandatory requirements specified in the “Material assessment tool, method and data” section of the BREEAM DE Mat 01 calculator are met.
4 A member of the project team uses the BREEAM DE Mat 01 calculator and evaluates the elements under consideration on the basis of the LCA tool used.
Requirements for Exemplary Level:
6 The requirements for Outstanding Quality listed in Table 38 are met.
7 If verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for at least ten products that were specified in the planning phase and used in the construction phase (see HE3.2).
Evaluated environmental impacts:
- Climate Change: Global Warming Potential. GWP
- Destruction of the stratospheric ozone layer: Ozone Layer Depletion Potential, ODP
- Summersmog, near-ground ozone: Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential, POCP
- Acidification of grounds, forrest decline and fish mortality: Acidification Potential, AP
- Overfertilisation of surface waters: Eutrophication Potential, EP
- Non-renewable primary energy expenditure (PEnr)
- Total primary energy expenditure (PEtot)
- Share of renewable primary energy
- Abiotic, non-energetic consumption of resources: abiotic depletion potential for elemental resources
- Net use of fresh water (FW)
- and many more…
